Privet and hawthorn blossoms characterise

dried-fruit notes.

The vines in this plot are over 50 years old and yield
a wine that is meaty and powerful, not without
some similarity to fine wines of the Côte de Beaune.

It may equally well be drunk young or after six
to eight years' ageing.
It makes a perfect accompaniment to fruits de mer,

OENOLOGIST'S TASTING NOTES
Colour : very fine pale yellow flecked with silver.
Limpid.
Nose : agreeable and expressive, dominated by ripe
banana over notes of citrus, later evolving nuances
of vine-flower. A complex bouquet covering a wide
spectrum of aromas.
Palate : good attack, unctuous, fresh. After the first
mouthful, there is a perceptible hint of white peach,
a touch acidic, then developing milder, very slightly
grassy notes.
Remarks : good length characterises this refined
and elegant wine.
